95% of sperm donors in Hubei Province are university students

They got subsidy of RMB3,000 (apprximately US$550) when donation is completed. 
Sperm donors are required for at least 22 years old, must have a college education, more than 1.65m tall, no color blindness and genetic or other diseases. 
After strict inspection, a subsidy of RMB200 for each sperm donation. When they complete the whole process, a subsidy of RMB3,000 will be granted. 
Dr. Jiang Xianglong, who is running the Sperm Bank in China, said that, after one year of test-run, mote than 1,100 volunteers registered, of which 95 percent are college students. Only 20% of them passed the final test. 
Dr. Jiang also calculated: infertility is 8% -10% in China, the population in Hubei Province is 60 million, of which 1/6 are in the reproductive period. By the most conservative estimate, there needs at least 2,500 sperm donors for screening in order to meet the demand in Hubei Province only.
